MESHA DONALDSON
Founder and Managing Partner
Mesha is the founder of Tandem Law P.C. After completing law school at the University of Windsor, Mesha was called to the Ontario Bar in 2011. While at Windsor, Mesha served as Head of the Pro Bono Students program in her final year and volunteered at the Legal Aid Clinic. After articling at Canada's oldest family-run law firm in Toronto, Mesha began practising family law in the Durham Region, her home community. At a previous firm, Mesha was named a partner after three short years.
With over 14 years of experience, Mesha is dedicated to assisting clients and has negotiated numerous separation agreements, marriage contracts (prenuptial agreements), and cohabitation agreements. She has successfully represented clients in court proceedings involving parenting time, decision-making responsibility, property division, and child and spousal support. Mesha has extensive trial experience, including favourable outcomes in complex matters, and serves as counsel in mediations. Known for her ability to manage high-conflict matters, she is consistently thorough and well prepared. Mesha is a seasoned litigator who zealously advocates for her clients. Clients appreciate her candid advice and her tenacity in pursuing their objectives. In some of the most difficult times of their lives, clients rely on Mesha's judgment and advocacy, and continue to place their trust in her. The cornerstone of Mesha's practice is preserving her clients' dignity throughout and at the conclusion of each matter.
In addition to practising family law, Mesha assists clients with the preparation of Wills and Powers of Attorney, offering clear guidance on what should, and should not, be included and addressing clients' questions. Recognizing that preparing a Will can be nerve-racking, Mesha works at each client's preferred pace.
Finally, Mesha and her team bring a breadth of experience in real estate transactions and stand ready to assist.
